How can we help?

There are many ways we provide support in following the command of Christ to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), out of thanks for His great love in Jesus (1 John 4:19), and His provision of our daily bread (Psalm 145:15-16).

Private Confession & Absolution
Something weighing on you? Have you committed a sin that you cannot seem to feel forgiven by God for? Come see Pastor in his office for a private confession and absolution where your sin will have the word of God spoken against it, that you would be forgiven of all your sin by Christ Himself! (John 20:23)

GriefShare
GriefShare sessions are held at least once a year in the fellowship hall at Our Saviour. These sessions provide resources, social support, and a designated time to grieve for those suffering from a death of a loved one.
For Healing resources from GriefShare, see: https://www.griefshare.org/healing
Keeping in touch with others at GriefShare sessions can help offer you the support you need as you journey through grief.

Prayer
We support each other by praying for one another as God commands us to do (Ephesians 6:18).

We also have a “Prayer Chain” where you can ask members to pray for you. Contact the church office so we can begin the chain of prayer through the members of our church.

Visits
If you would prefer to have pastor privately meet and pray with you, Pastor can make himself available for such visits/calls/emails to help in prayer, spiritual discernment, and guidance in the things of God.

If you are not seeking a pastoral visit (especially appropriate for difficult theological matters or confession and absolution), our Elders are also available to visit and support the members of the church with their cares and concerns.

Bible Studies
It is good to be fed and nourished by the word of God, not just in a law/gospel sermon on Sunday’s, but in dialogue with the word of God and study with the people of God, that we would sharpen one another and hold each other to the one authority of God’s word.

Confirmation
If you would like to become a member, you will need to talk with the pastor and confirm with him the faith you have. If you are an adult, and would like to join, please contact pastor who will visit with you and either privately meet with you, or have you join in with other adults going through the same process.

Fellowship
On top of joining together with one another for “Sunday Church”, we are the people of God who may just want to hang out and play games, socialize, share meals together, study scripture… We have ladies groups working with LWML, we have bible studies, we have the word and sacrament of God, we have potluck suppers… We encourage you to join together as the people of God in many and various ways to be a support for each other as we share together in our various walks of life.
